PSP 3000 Should I Wait For PSP 4000 Next Year
Well the news from the GC yesterday confirmed all the rumors of the past weeks for the PSP 3000 is now officially coming to market this fall. This may be exciting to some but to others who just may have purchased Sony’s latest version of the PSP which was only released a year ago to be quite upsetting! Seriously Sony come on, it’s nice that you want to keep imrpoving your machine and want to add all these cool features into it. A 3rd version of the same machine? Does this mean that at this time next year we can expect the PSP 4000?
Now don’t get me wrong I love all the features that they have stuffed into the PSP Lite. That was a great and much needed update. Two years in a row though? That’s kind of ruff on us mobile gamers that always need to have the latest and greatest gadgets. Why didn’t you give the PSP Lite some time to grow it’s been selling very well since the release.
Oh well too late now Sony announced yet another new version of the PSP and I must say I am looking forward to seeing a new one hands on to see how much of difference the new screen technology will make. Also the inclusion of a microphone only adds fuel to the fire that Sony is itching to have the PSP enter the mobile phone market. Only a matter of time now before we start recieving phone calls while we are playing on our PSP.
The other last bit of news on the PSP 3000 is the fact that it will have a bundle package that will include the same pricing structure as the PSP 2000 plus the new Ratchet and Clank game also it will come in three colors the Piano Black, Pearl White, and Mystic Silver. The home button has also been replace with a PS button although no new function has been reported for the new button.
The PSP 3000 in silver coming on October 14th, 2008. Will you be getting one?

PSP is a gaming System for gods sake. there is no improvement on buttons and obviuosly all psp console should play all psp games. So whats to be upset about? I have Psp 2000 and i only use it for gaming ON THE ROAD ONLY. I never even touch my psp at home other than connecting it to my PC. Internet i use PC, Movie i watch on my HDTV. Microphone is on my iphone and all those. So psp would be a no brainer failure if it is a portable media device. Games saved it.
hmm.. ya not ture really, i have a PSP 1000 and i use it all the time for movies and music, ture i dont think i woould use it as a phone, i have a cell for that :/ but ya i use it all the time for one the road and YES at home!!

yer, dude, the PSP sells unbelivably well as a multimedia device. with its great graphics and great overall gameing experience, bheing able to play movies, listen to music, browse internet etc. will make this badboy a hardcore seller

Nope. Got a sexy mettalic Blue slim and lite from the land of the rising sun. And you cannot hack the psp 3000, the reason why i got mine. Besides without hacking the psp would be junk, the psp 3000 has 2 added fetures which are lame. the microphone, you can only use it for skype, and you'd look an idiot talking with a psp to your ear, try it at a mirror. the colours arn't nessesary, my screens mint anyways. i dont think the 3000 is any slimmer than the slim and it dont have “exclusive games with better graphics”. Pointless, for its price @ the high street. I got my blue slim imported for £136 including 4 umd's not even needed because i got cfw, but a nice bonus, AND a 4gb memory stick, with a screen protecter and a case. Nice eh? Thats what I thought…

I think I'm just gonna wait for the 4000 if it comes. I don't think the new features are that great. Yeah I mean who doesn't want a brighter screen and a microphone. It's not worth buying in my opinion and besides they should make it so you can record your own thing with the microphone and take pictures. And I'm tired of seeing videos on YouTube of what people think is going to be the Psp 4000..

I was kinda having some regrets on getting a slim and lite when I first heard of the new 3000, but I just tell myself that as long as this baby doesn’t get outdated, I won’t break up with it.

Honestly, dont wait for the 4000. For if this will be a “Gaming Phone” i wouldnt waste my time waiting. This is why i have a cellular phone and it would be annoying having to be interrupted by a phone call. Second, it will be for a cellular phone carrier, so if you dont have the required carrier, it would be a waist to buy it, and no, you would not buy it for the two analog sticks…
how about a second thumb stick if its gonna be a gamtng device and if its geared more towards a phone a mini usb port second thumb stick only if you want better controls and sales
I would agree with you caster. they need to add in the second thumb stick take out the umd go to either digital downloads or games on memory sticks if they really need to keep selling physical components of the games. You just know that Sony is going to add the phone feature and probably touch screen to the thing as they try and jam it full of stuff the gamers have no use for

ok seriously, the psp is the best systm in the world. If you get yours modded you can do basically anything withh it including youtube downloading full psp games, playing GBA and N64 games on it. I play mario 64 and Gba games on mine, i also have some full games on mine. message me if you wANT TO KNOW HOW I DO THIS. EMAIL LISTED. trust me, its worth your time.
I suggest don’t buy the PSP 3000 but wait a new PSP 4000 is coming are way. This new PSP slides up reviling the controls and they say umd will disappear and soon you will wirelessly download your game. No I am not kidding I’ve done my research. So just wait and you will have the ultimate gaming experience.
I’ll just swap my PSP 3000 and add some money to pay for that PSP 4000.:) But how much will this be if released?
